Okay few days ago, we wrote an article on all devices that will get Android Oreo update in this year, and fast forward to now, Google recently gave us a little tip of what we should be expecting with the latest android 8.1 oreo update.

Android Oreo

In the update, it was announced that Android 8.1 Oreo will gives users a chance to view an Open WiFi Network Speed, before deciding if it is worth connecting to or not. cool right?.. this simply means that, if you think the speed is too slow for you, you are free to throw it into the trash can, and check the next available one. The speed labels are listed as follows..

  1. Slow [0 - 1mbps] >> Appropriate for Wi-Fi Calls and Sending Text Messages.
  2. Okay [1 - 5mbps] >> Appropriate for Reading Web pages, Social Media and Music Streaming.
  3. Fast [5 - 20mbps] >> Appropriate for just Normal Video Streaming.
  4. Very Fast [above 20mbps] >> Appropriate for High Quality Video Streaming, and any of those listed above.

Go Here to see our list of devices that will be getting Android Oreo Update, to know if yours is included..

  1. Not available for Nokia 8 with 8.1 beta. Probably a feature for Pixel only.
